First, Happy Birthday to my wonderful husband! He’s 27 today…quite the “old man.”
Since my birthday was this past Saturday, we celebrated both special days by going out for dinner.
And tonight we attended our first KKU (Khon Kaen University) ministry meeting/cookout, where we also celebrated Bob’s birthday! Meeting would probably be a misnomer for this time – it was more a time of fellowship, encouraging one another with what God is doing in our lives, reading from the Word, and sharing what we want to trust God and pray for over the next three weeks.
In other ministry news, the Cross Cultural Project (CCP), a team of college students from the states, arrives tomorrow to work with us for the next two months! We are excited as we have some good friends leading the team. This is also an exciting time for us because it will be our first taste of ministry on campus. While we’ll still be studying the language four hours a day, we’ll head to campus for lunch and hang out at night and on the weekends with students we meet.
More updates to come…eventually.
